Minecraft 26.70.23 for Android

Developers have released a test version of Minecraft 26.70.23 for Android. The last pieces of the winter drop are here: Calcite finally becomes a full building set with polished variants, bricks, and pillars, and a new music disc called "flurry" waits in Igloo basements. Players can also swap items between hands with a single button.

Calcite Block Sets

New building materials. Details:

• Plain Calcite now has matching stairs, slabs, and walls
• Added a Polished Calcite set
• Added a Polished Calcite Brick set
• Added the Calcite Pillar
• The pale, marble-like look fits nicely into snowy builds

Music Disc "flurry"

A new track for your collection. Properties:

• Written by composer Hyper Potions
• Has a 30% chance to appear in Igloo chests
• Can be added to a Jukebox playlist like any other disc

Drop Improvements

Polished existing features. Main points:

• A Stonecutter can turn Packed Ice and Packed Ice Bricks into bricks, slabs, stairs, walls, and Chiseled Packed Ice
• Packed Ice Bricks and Chiseled Packed Ice now carry Redstone signals
• Packed Ice Bricks play the correct sounds
• Brittle Ice, Packed Ice Bricks, Chiseled Packed Ice, and Snow Bricks properly block sunlight, so mobs underneath won't burn
• Brittle Ice follows the "mob_griefing" game rule, and Strays no longer crack it
• Jukeboxes no longer send out vibrations when switching discs in a playlist
• Burning stops freezing from building up until the fire is out
• Fire or lava no longer makes endless fizzing sounds while you're freezing
• Zombies, Husks, Drowned, and Skeletons wearing Leather Armor don't transform in Powder Snow
• Dying from an Ice Ball shows the right death message, and throwing one now makes a sound
• Parrots can imitate the Frostbite
• Icicles show the correct color on Explorer Maps

Changes

Made 8 changes. Main ones:

• Items can now be swapped between the main hand and off-hand: press F on keyboard or the Crafting button on a controller
• A "Swap off-hand" hint appears when you hold an item that works in either hand
• The developers hid a new decorative block somewhere in the game - try to find it
• Ice and Frosted Ice now block less light, as originally intended
• Frosted Ice and cracking ice push items out of themselves
• The Disc Press got better song lists, sorting by title, artist, and length, and improved controller navigation
• Jukeboxes and Pocket Jukeboxes now tell you why a Track Disc can't play, for example when you're offline
• Track Discs in a Jukebox start after a short two-second delay to load the online audio

Bug Fixes

Fixed 26 bugs. Details:

• Containers like Hoppers no longer lose their items when replaced with /fill or /setblock
• Sulfur, Cinnabar, and Packed Ice Brick Walls no longer block Chests from opening
• Hoppers above a container collect dropped items at normal speed again
• Chest loot is now the same on the same seed
• Classic skins picked in the Dressing Room now show up on your character in the world
• Cracking textures no longer appear on the see-through parts of Icicles
• Leaf transparency works correctly when switching between Simple and Fancy on mobile
• Fixed two odd pixels on the Jukebox side texture
• Pigs, Chickens, Cows, Cats, and Sheep now show correct captions when hurt or killed
• Villagers working at their stations have the right captions
• Turtle Eggs show captions when trampled by Zombies and their relatives
• Tuff, Hanging Signs, Fishing Bobbers, and Leads got correct captions
• A sound plays again when a Zombie turns into a Drowned
• Narration in the Create New World menu, Realms, and template cards became more informative
• Fixed a memory leak when switching between the Play and world creation screens
• Fixed a crash on PS4 when entering a world or adding a split-screen player
• Fixed a crash when opening info about a player who reported a Realms Stories post
• The player model on the main menu no longer disappears after toggling a resource pack
• Opening the Social Drawer right after launch no longer softlocks the game
• Backing out of the Marketplace after launching from a Store offer no longer softlocks the game
• Gift purchases no longer get stuck on "Purchase in progress…"
• Players without enough Minecoins for a gift are taken to the Coin Bundle screen
• Marketplace images load faster and more reliably
• Nintendo Switch friends now appear in the Social Drawer even when they're not in a world
• Japanese text in server forms is no longer cut off
• Ore UI screens load faster on Nintendo Switch

Technical Changes

Added 35 technical changes for addon development and testing. Among them, the /locate poi command no longer finds locations without matching points of interest.
