Minecraft 26.70.22 for Android

Developers have released a test version of Minecraft 26.70.22 for Android. The winter drop keeps adding building materials: this time it's a full set of Snow Bricks for your frosty builds. Sulfur Cubes also learned a new trick - feed one Blue Ice and it will freeze water as it slides across.

Snow Bricks

A new building block set. Properties:

• Bricks made from snow for a true winter look
• The set includes bricks, slabs, stairs, and walls
• Stays solid and never melts
• Dig it fastest with a Shovel

Cold Sulfur Cube

A new Sulfur Cube type. How it works:

• Give a Sulfur Cube a block of Blue Ice to turn it cold
• Leaves a trail of Frosted Ice when crossing still water, much like Frost Walker
• In everything else it slides quickly, like the Fast Sliding type

Drop Improvements

Polished existing features. Main points:

• Packed Ice Bricks moved to the right spot in the Creative inventory, next to the Sulfur blocks
• Note Blocks play the Chime sound on Packed Ice Bricks
• Packed Ice Brick slabs and stairs now sink properly in water and lava
• Every Packed Ice Brick block now follows the same naming as other brick sets
• Wandering Traders sell Ice Crystals for two Emeralds each
• Husks and Drowned stuck in Powder Snow first turn into Zombies, then into Frostbites
• Zombies, Husks, and Drowned no longer take freezing damage in Powder Snow
• Villagers and Zombie Villagers in Ice Caves appear in their snowy outfits
• Brittle Ice shows the right captions when it cracks

Changes

Made 7 changes. Main ones:

• Ender Pearls now teleport you to where they were just before landing, as in Java Edition
• Frogs and adult Turtles stuck in deep water now find their way back to land
• 14 items received new tooltips, and descriptions for Smithing Templates, workstations, tools, and enchantments were updated
• Number keys now move items from the hotbar into Furnace, Blast Furnace, and Smoker slots
• The Subscriptions page shows how many days of Marketplace Pass you have left
• Platform-exclusive skins like Mario Mash-up now show up in local worlds on Nintendo Switch
• The Pocket Jukebox no longer slows the player down

Bug Fixes

Fixed 17 bugs. Details:

• Closed captions no longer flash and vanish after closing a menu
• Brushing Suspicious Sand to the end now shows a caption
• Lightning Rods have the correct color on maps
• Teleporting into the side of a block no longer triggers effects meant for standing on it
• The game no longer assumes you're still on the ground after teleporting
• Multiplayer features work properly the first time you join an experience
• Cracking textures on Icicles, Ice Crystals, Straw Beds, and similar blocks are no longer too dark
• Some animations no longer play too fast in split-screen
• Several items on a Campfire no longer cause a rendering error with ray tracing
• Tab in chat on Android with a physical keyboard now autocompletes commands
• Ctrl+Backspace and Ctrl+Delete on Android delete a whole word
• Music discs no longer play twice when a split-screen player joins
• The Marketplace Pass page no longer loads forever when opened from a web link
• The main menu no longer shows an extra "1." in the version number
• Achievement icons stopped flickering
• The "Activate Texture" button opens the settings menu correctly
• Moving packs with a keyboard or controller keeps focus on the pack, and Back cancels the move
