Installing something in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is meant to be simple — you open the file you downloaded and the game does the rest. In practice people still get stuck, because the guides they find were written for a version of the game that no longer exists: they mention ZIP archives that Bedrock stopped using years ago, or tell you to switch on a toggle that was removed from the settings.

Each guide covers Android, iPhone and Windows, points out the buttons that are easy to press by mistake, and ends with the reasons an add-on can look broken when it is not.
