Myths & Magic Add-on


With the installation of Myths & Magic, Minecraft receives an advanced magic system with unique mechanics. The mod adds dozens of spells, new items, and creatures. Players can use Scrolls or create Spell Books by combining different abilities. There are also magical items in the game that boost effects and help manage mana.

Magic

25 spells of three types — attack, effects, and mobility, each influenced by one of 6 elements

Scrolls can be found or crafted; they consume durability and use mana

The Spellbook combines up to 3 spells, does not break, and gains experience; it can be upgraded up to level 3

The more spells in the book, the higher the mana consumption and cooldown time

Mana regenerates over time and can be boosted by items



Magical Items

Azsilva Armor speeds up mana regeneration to 100 percent with a full set

Amulets grant effects but have limited uses

Sparkling — more mana and regeneration

Blazing — faster spell casting

Shivering — cheaper spells but longer cooldowns

Altered — more damage but reduces health

Masks strengthen elements and reduce damage from another element

Ember Mask — boosts fire, reduces ice damage

Frost Mask — boosts ice, reduces earth damage

Breeze Mask — boosts air, reduces fire damage

Boulder Mask — boosts earth, reduces lightning damage

Thunder Mask — boosts lightning, reduces air damage



Spell Manager

Spell Manager — recolor books, change spell order, view effects

Spellcrafter — repair scrolls, transfer spells into books, level up, clear books

Scroll Crafter — craft scrolls via recipes

Can be found in the Shimmering Tower

Each use depletes its energy; to recharge, give a Shimmering Crystal to the Mage



Mobs

Mage — guards the Spell Manager in the Shimmering Tower, can recharge energy if given a Shimmering Crystal

Boos — friendly Ifrit found in the Coven Ruins, transforms into magic potions when fed

Flickerwick — small mob, can be revived with a Flint and Steel, glows and follows the player

Slashbuckler — friendly large mob, eats ice, creates a snowstorm

Mimic — hostile, attacks from a distance, can steal the player's items

Sacred Statue — mini-boss, high health, strong attack, vulnerable to pickaxes

Chill — zombie from snowy biomes, attacks with frosty arms, sometimes rides a Polar Bear

Blood Spider — vampiric version of the spider, invisible, drops Vampire Claws

Scrabble — desert thief, hides items in stashes, can be tamed with a Water Bottle

Altermonsters — floating block-like monsters



















Sanctuary

Underground ruins with dangers like the Mimic, Cadaver, and Hermit; contains the Sanctuary Key and a Vault with rewards



Polar Dungeon



Shimmering Tower



Coven Ruins



Altercult Lair



Alterworld

Can be accessed with the Altered Key

Time inside is limited; when it runs out, the player returns

Contains useful materials and alien plants

Alterbeasts attack the player and extend time upon defeat



Revoid

Will appear if it senses the player has stayed too long in the Alterworld. If it spots you, it's best to run and hope it doesn't catch you in time
