Minecraft 1.21.40.22 for Android

Developers have released a test version of Minecraft 1.21.40.22 for Android. This update adds Bundle dyeing, introduces 5 changes, and includes 17 bug fixes.

Experimental Features

• Bats
- Spawn at any height given sufficient darkness and enclosed space
- Spawn on Stone, Granite, Diorite, Andesite, Tuff, and Deepslate
- Can spawn above surface
• Added Realm event in Minecraft

Version Parity

1 change was made to align Bedrock with Java:
• Compasses bound to the same Lodestone can now stack up to 64 units

Bug Fixes

17 bugs were fixed:

• Fixed double-clicking on controllers
• Fixed chat message after death from Mace's Crushing attack
• Fixed character spawn
• TNT explosion no longer reduces speed of other falling TNT blocks
• Breeze cannot bounce off player on Honey block
• Zombie Piglins from Nether Portal now have a 15-second cooldown on teleportation
• Jump boost now works on Breezes
• Minecarts no longer stop randomly
• Single click for block destruction works in Creative mode when using a controller
• Fixed Realm invite link text
• Fixed items getting stuck in crafting menu
• Entering Bed menu is audible again
• Fixed background overlay in Bed menu
• Item category no longer displays in tooltips when Recipe Book search screen is closed
• Fixed Crouch button flickering
